I am sure, that everyone who does any type of craft, crochet, knitting, tatting, point lace, embroidery, etc…. Is familiar with the sharp pointy needles that poke us always at the wrong time…. Like there is ever a right time lol!
A few weeks ago I rushed to finished a Romanian Point Lace Project for the up coming eBook.
Well you know when you rush…. Even with years and years of expérience in RPL (Romanian Point Lace) I guess you can’t escape thé pointy needle.
Trying to pull the needle múltiple times in the cord to secure the thread, was maybe not the way to go…. Lol
In cases like that, important is that you take care of your wound, making sure that you do not drop any blood on your lace. Try to stop the bleeding as soon as possible and use à plaster/band aid if needed to prevent the blood contaminating your work.
If necessary, please take à break. Once you start to poke yourself, it’s an indication, that you might be tired. Your eyes and your hands might be over worked and so is your brain. It’s time to relax.
I like to do some stretching with my hands, massage my neck and shoulders with a combo of warming balm and lotion.
I use this one , à gel that heats up really well.
It gets really hot and so I like to mix it up with lotion. It’s natural organic and I have been using it for back, shoulder and neck pain ! Please do Not use it if you have open wounds or damage skin. Also wash your hands well, the heat will burn your eyes if you accidently touch them. You can find it on eBay, Amazon or herbal stores. Remember, just coz it works on me it does not mean it works on you ! Check it out and ask your doc if needed.
Hope you enjoy every création you make, even if it comes with some nasty needle pokes….
