Ostara

Ostara

Today marks a special day on the southern hemisphere. It’s Ostara day, an ancient event with germanic roots.  Ostara welcomes Spring in our lives. She is the goddess of Spring.

I love this season, a it’s always celebrated with so much joy. Its really simple if you want to do it as well!

Turn to the sun and say thank you for the warmth, the energy and the life it provides.

Ground yourself by walking in grass, give blessings to the soil by watering your garden or plant seeds and let them grow, revive the earth.

In Germany large fire bonds are created along with trees fully decorated with eggs. The egg is the symbol of fertility and spring, and it is also Ostaras symbols. In almost every tarot deck you will find Ostara holding a bunny or bunnies with eggs.

Ostaras tree is the Birch. Use a candle with that smell to waken up the senses. Smudge yourself, your space and crystals. Take a flower bath and create a grid.

This is how you welcome Ostara in your life. If you use healing crystals during this time, make sure to use the right one, like Tiger’s eye, Carnelian, Rhodoronsite, Apatite, Green aventurine, rose quartz, clear quartz of course and thd sunstone.

If you celebrate Ostara, let me know with a comment below!

Allende….

Allende….

Reading Allende books is one of my favorite free-time activities… Isabel Allende captured my attention since I was reading Of Love and Shadows a book about Chile and it’s political crimes and power in all social areas entangled ( Sorry Will Smith!…. you get it if you have seen Red Table talk lol!)  with a love story.

Who is your favorite author and why?

I like her books because they are amazing in both Spanish and English! She made me start reading in Spanish actually and so I was curious about the movies as well… I am sure we are all familiar with the famous movie The House of the Spirits

If not watch the Trailer below, you right like it!

Since I have little time to read but enjoy it a lot… I read while waiting for my little one, on pick up duty from school. It;s only 15 min but great 15 min to send!

How do you squeeze in reading time?

Creating a space

Creating a space

Creating a space for work is a need and very important for everybody, but specially a must for an artist.

You know What they say an artist is messy, a apace is like a tornado a never ending mess.

If you are a typical creative person , you know, your supplies and materials are never enough! Sounds familiar?

I like to keep my supplies, organised in boxes and containers.

Big lace pièces, need to be store away and be dust free. There is nothing worst then dust on delicate Lace.

This way I like to keep my largeur designs. Jewellery flatlays in boxes. Threads sorted by size and colours.
