Homage Handmade….Why I do what I do ….

Why I do what I do….. I create ‪‎handmade‬, fashion accessories‬ unnamed (40) and clothing‬ that is done purely by ‪‎hand‬! Some people ask why…. ?! Because the roots of true ‪‎fashion‬ are the‎hands‬, the #hands that ‪‎create‬, and make you the ‪buyer‬ feel truly ‪unique‬ and ‪original‬. Because this was the beginning and ‪‎tradition‬ that needs to stay alive! Because we want to be individuals and we need to stay out in the crowd, especially ‪‎today‬ where everything is not only ‪massproduction‬, but ‪‎fast‬, and‪ ‎mediocre‬ ‪‎quality‬ !

We live in a world hat no eyes of ‪‎consume‬, a world of ‪throw away‬ and to own a piece that is truly made with‪‎love‬, ‪dedication‬, ‪sweat‬ and ‪‎blood‬ is not only‪ ‎rare‬ but ‪‎priceless‬! Not many understand the ‪value‬ of ‪‎true handmade‬ and I believe it;s time to make it clear to the next generations!

If we continue like this, one day we wear‪‎ clothes‬ out of pure ‪‎plastic‬!

Make the‪‎ world‬ more beautiful and wear originals! That is why I do what I do! I live for #handmade and unique designs!

Little Girl Art….

Every little idea or illustration starts with something. In my case most of the time it starts with a brainstorm that ends up into a mood board.

A lovely customer contacted me to illustrate a little girl for a fashion brand. After collecting a tone of information about the concept, colour block, mood, vibe and type of fashion,etc… Ideas started to pop up in my mind about the little girl that was to represent the company.

E voilà this is the mood board. A touch of vintage fashion, with lovely butterfly. A little glamour for a little lady who can shine next to her mother.

After your board is done and your client is happy with the result, you can start to sketch the first ideas… This is such a fun process for me as an illustrator. The creativity just flows and flows….

And here is my end result… a little girl surrounded by butterflies.
